Lancome Dreamtone Review

I recently got the opportunity from SheSpeaks to try out and review Lancome's new Dreamtone customized skin tone correcting serum.

About the product:
"DreamTone is the next generation in dark spot correction. The new DreamTone is 3 barely-tinted serums formulated to visibly correct dark spots, color imperfections and give you a more even-looking skin tone. It comes in 3 serums customized for your skin tone: 1- Fair, 2 – Medium, 3 – Dark."

Product Claims:
IMMEDIATELY:
• 74% saw glowing skin*

7 DAYS:
• 70% noticed a more even skin tone*

4 WEEKS:
• 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced*

8 WEEKS:
• 78% saw color imperfections reduced*

*All results based on global self-assessments of women of multiple ethnicities in an 8-week study. 72% reflects 8 weeks of use.

My Thoughts:
Initial thoughts are that I love the DreamTone packaging. The bottle is beautiful and the pump gives the perfect amount of product so I don't waste any. My skin tone was 1-Fair, and it's a light consistency, orange in color. It's not oily and absorbs into my skin quickly, and it has a faint scent that's hard to describe, but not bothersome. Now it's recommended to use the product for 4 weeks (twice a day) to see very noticeable results, but I was only able to use mine for 2 weeks, twice a day. I'm posting my #BareSelfie (as challenged my Lancome) below.

Personally I do think that the serum has a glowing effect and evened out my skin tone a bit, but it's hard to tell in photos, as well as difficult to tell due to the fact that I only used it for 2 weeks, and have some blemishes. I'm liking the product so far, but am hoping to see a more noticeable change in my next 2 weeks of use. (I have my fingers crossed; there have been many raves about it.) I will definitely update you all if there are any differences!

Disclosure: I received complimentary product from SheSpeaks/LancĂ´me.

Shoplately Blogger Week!: Phraseology

Hello all! Today I have a very exciting post, as I am excited to announce that I am one of the featured bloggers on Shoplately Blogger Week! Shoplately is a women's fashion marketplace for fashionistas, and one of my favorite online retailers. They carry beautiful unique jewelry and accessories, and have since expanded to also carry clothes and shoes! Blogger week is when select bloggers/vloggers handpick their favorite items, and I chose a beautiful handmade kimono from Phraseology.
Here are just some of the kimonos here! I chose the Disco Dancer Dark Kimono and styled it below. It's on sale now as you can see for only $35, such a steal!

This is from my Instagram @HiTash. I also made a video featuring this item and other Shoplately items here:

Thank you for reading, and be sure to check out my sale event below!:

Urban Moschino + Wine Pants

Black Beanie (Aeropostale)
White Cami (Forever 21)

Happy November! I totally created this outfit around these wine colored pants; my absolute favorite color for fall! Cozy like sweatpants, yet enough structure and detail to pass off for daytime wear, I kept it simple mixing it with neutrals and cinched it all together with my prized Moschino replica belt. Since the outfit was feeling very urban-ish, I thought what better than to slap a beanie on it :) It's not my typical style, but I had fun styling the pants and delving into a sporty feel! Hope you all are having a wonderful week!

Kahala Mall Snapshot Of Style Event

Baroque Top (Forever 21)
Leather Skirt c/o StylingOn
Black Tights
Cutout Boots c/o Shoplately (ZooShoo)

I didn't abandon my blog again! Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been a crazy workaholic recently, and I don't think you want to see fashion posts of me in an apron ;) Tonight I had the pleasure of going to Kahala Mall's Snapshot Of Style Event (with my sister!) for Hawaii Fashion Month 2013. I was one of their winners for their Instagram style contest, and they were so kind to give me a VIP shopping pass and a $20 gift card to the mall. At the actual event there were giveaways and food vendors at a lot of their stores. Pictured above is just 1 example of the yummies they were handing out, I swear we ate so much food it was like a Costco sample run ;) My sister and I also got free hair makeovers, and even got 5 full size salon hair products each! Needless to say, I had a great time and it was a very successful event! Thanks Kahala Mall!

XOXO,
Tasha

Voodoo Girl

Hat (Goodwill)
White Crop Top (Windsor)
Shorts (Goodwill)
Platform Sneakers (Jeans Warehouse)
Crossbody Bag (Target)

Please excuse the darkness, I had to take these photos in the late evening as my photographer (aka hubbs) and I goofed and didn't take 'before event' pictures and had to manage with 'after event' pictures. I wore this outfit to September's Eat the Street, which is always a fun event for a foodie like me! I felt really 'witchy' with this look (I think it's the hat), and loved sporting the dark lipstick, torn tights, creepers, etc. I also looooove this kimono! Bohemian is one of my favorite styles and I was totally channeling Vanessa Hudgens on this one, she's one of my celebrity style icons! Who is your celebrity style icon?

XOXO,
Tasha
